The Charles Clore Residence

Area:50,000 sqf
Services: Planning according to preservation restrictions and two additional stories, interior design and functional layout

Dorm for doctoral student named after Sir Charles Clor. The original building was planned in the early 60s by architect Arieh Elhanani, and it stands out with its brutal look of bare concrete, wood, glass and river stones amidst a large green park. Planning called for total renovation of the interior, construction of a new layout in a building zoned for preservation, upgrading all systems and renewing the exterior. Plans also included addition of wings inside the building and on the top floor.
